Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The ability to upgrade items allows players to improve their weapons and gear by adding new affixes that boost its stats base or giving additional benefits. To upgrade items, players must have the item in their inventory and access the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, such as rings, can be upgraded into a stronger base. Items with strong bases, such as Titans from eth, have no changes in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools. They give you an attribute bonus or extra effect, while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, gathered in loot, dropped by enemies or received as rewards from missions or chests. Some upgrades can have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.

To upgrade a weapon or piece of armor, the user must select it, and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview of the expected upgrade statistics and the necessary component or materials.

There are three kinds of universal upgrades (which include gems), prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which comprise gems, can be placed in any type of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than upgrade components that are type-restricted. Infusions are jewels that are only available in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They offer the same bonuses as jewels, but cannot be used with any other equipment. Suffix upgrades, which can be placed in gathering tools, include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding a Glyph to an item that is a Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would transform it into a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

In the case of upgrades to gather tools when a player swaps one glyph by another the old glyph will be returned to the inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component can destroy it, except for inscriptions which can be freely swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from previous versions in some important ways. Gear is now categorised in tracks and each item is able to be upgraded a certain number of times before it's "leveled out." The cost of upgrading increases with each level up however, the materials needed do not increase as much. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a couple of essential items and maximize their impact, instead of spreading the upgrade costs across several pieces.

This allows the item to receive new upgrade components, and have a greater chance of success. This bonus is known as Artisan’s Energy and it resets to 0 if an upgrade fails or increases if the upgrade succeeds.

After a piece has been upgraded to the maximum level, it is able to get the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes available will depend on the item's type. For example an uncommon or rare weapon with a base that is normal will only have two affixes available for it, whereas a legendary armor will have up to eight affixes for it.

Each upgrade requires a certain number of Flightstones and crests based on the Best item upgrade's current level and the Best item upgrader slot it's in. In general, weapons will require more Flightstones to upgrade than other types of equipment.

If an item doesn't attain its maximum level, the NPC gives the player the option to transfer it to another character and then re-infuse it with a different set or upgrades. This process can take between one and two hours, and costs the same amount of materials. However, it has a lower rate of success.

To measure the height of a building, engineers will utilize an instrument to compare the measurement to a known reference point such as a benchmark or the elevation of the ground. This method is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the backsight rod and the level before turning the level to make the foresight rod reading. This method guarantees that structures are built to an extremely high level of accuracy and safety.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process of changing the upgrade components of an item. It is a crucial aspect of the game and can drastically improve an item's strength, damage, or other characteristics. This can be accomplished through the menu for items or by clicking the Reroll button on an upgraded item. Rerolling an item can be costly and should be handled with care.

The game lets players recycle upgraded items, which can be used to acquire reroll tokens. These tokens can then be used to upgrade the original item or an similar item. Recyclable items have an indicator of the level which shows how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The rarity and cost of upgrading an item upgrader kit determines the level of filling.

Prior to this, certain upgrade items were given priority affixes that made them easier to roll. This meant that you'd get the most crucial stats to your build more often than others. These included things such as the armor's total armor, thorns, and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.

The game also comes with several sets, that offer a set-based bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are equipped on an item. This is a great method to add lots of power to a specific character without spending a lot of money.

Many players reroll their weapons and gear, especially in the early stages. This is because rerolling can offer a quicker route to a more powerful character, allowing them to reach high tiers and progress the game faster.

Sets

Sets are groups of elements that can be put together in various ways. They can be of various sizes, have no elements at all, or have a single element. They can be used to organize data or organize information. They also aid in analyzing patterns. Sets can be categorized in a variety of ways, including by size and shape.

There are a variety of set items that can be upgraded in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Certain items are worth upgrading, while some aren't. Upgrades are worthwhile for armor sets that provide high defense value and set bonuses. Upgrades to weapons aren't as effective in improving stats as their purple counterparts. This makes them less appealing to upgrade if you already have many armor or weapons already.

Another reason for upgrading certain items is to bring them up to parity with their levels. The Immortal King Set, for instance, comes with a wide range of levels ranging from 29 to 75. Upgrades to lower level items can improve their defense, and increase their competitiveness in terms of damage.

Clicking the Upgrade button will display the item upgrader mod's attributes and the required items to upgrade it. The attributes of the item will be displayed, along with any required items. For instance the No-mouth Face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials and 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also verify the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general, armor and weapons are more valuable when they are fully updated. Especially for weapons that have damage glyphs for spells or weapons and are upgraded to gold is recommended because it will give a substantial increase in their performance. This will also increase the defense of armor that has a newer appearance.
