World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item upgrader mod. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of an item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the final game, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade items will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade the equipment they have it will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback, as the item can become more expensive even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade items occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
