What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

A transparent device that can make certain Pokemon species evolve. It was developed by Silph Co.

Costs

There are some costs related to upgrades of items. The first cost is the upgrade itself. This cost depends on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives and can be costly. The second is the price of the materials required for an upgrade. These modifications are based on an item's ilvl and may require special materials, like adamantine.

Success Rate

The upgrade of an item is based on chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it won't succeed. However, there are a few factors that can increase the chance of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or adding additional components to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available through the NPC for the smithing process in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of a successful upgrade by an amount. It is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer however it is more reliable. This can be added to any weapons or armor and is used three times.

It is also possible to add a number of additional items to the upgrade, which increases the chance of success. These are shown in a separate window, above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

Another method to increase the chances of an upgrade achieving success is to use the item known as a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is helpful when you own an item of equipment that is at the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without worrying about it breaking.
