1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic vacuum cleaners cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.

This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does very well at collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

However, if you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
