Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've always wanted to get a highest rated robot vacuum vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..

how-do-robotic-vacuum-cleaners-work-mediThe Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that resembles toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System also self vacuum near me-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots can't. It did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, although not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice when you're willing to compromise to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missed corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be done with relative ease. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the best on the market however it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do very well at collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models for substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning robot price of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and ample space to allow it to move however.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The main feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials such as cereal.
