The best automatic vacuum and mop robot vacuums that mop hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its surprisingly affordable price and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Examine your robot's brush regularly for tangled debris and hair. Wash them when necessary. Some models can also automatically empty their dust bin on board into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They have motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also have carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it sees an abundance of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good value for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work, or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be changed for one that is wet in just a few minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant autonomous vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a powerful suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to ensure better cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and set up zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can tell it to take off and extend its mops. This helps prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach beneath furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete the entire house with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums it, something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units This robot vacuum best vacuum and mop combo is among the most appealing looking in our tests. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score an exemplary 10/10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering a simple mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or at night as you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and more attractive. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and a little more cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will satisfy most people.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that will let you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take care of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the home based on how dirty these areas are.

If you have a bigger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with the option of cleaning zones or spots. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice command. If you have furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to resume where it left off can be very beneficial.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price suggests. It is a good vacuum cleaner and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with only one pad and a rotating motion that cleans better that most of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tested. It's also self-sufficient with a fully-featured application, and a self emptying base that can be washed.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, arrange a spot clean or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms to improve performance. The app offers a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that thoroughly cleans the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble cute little eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught on low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-or
