South Korea's democracy is susceptible to populist inclinations. It's still more stable than expected.

The Korean peninsula was habitable from Neolithic times until. In South Korea, 26 percent of the population is Christian. Creationists have succeeded in promoting their beliefs to this group. Of the respondents, 41% stated that there was insufficient evidence from science to support the theory 39% claimed that the theory did not align with their beliefs and 17% claimed it was difficult to comprehend. This level of doubt is similar to that of the United States where a similar number do not believe that humans evolved from lesser advanced forms of life.

In the past, the majority of the anti-evolutionist movement in Korea was focused on educating college students and bringing them to Christ. A significant rise in interest in creation science began in the year 1980, following an all-day seminar that was held during the World Evangelization Crusade in Seoul that featured Drs. KACR began publishing a newsletter titled CREATION. In it, the group presented its own work and published articles on the scientific evidence for the existence of God. It also translated a number of films and slides from ICR and some books on the subject that were in print outside of Korea. KACR members delivered lectures at universities and churches throughout the country.

One example of an KACR success story took place at the KAIST university in Seoul. Students at KAIST in Seoul were so keen on the concept of creationism that they raised money and got support to build a small museum dedicated to creation on campus.

In addition to its activities, KACR has published a bimonthly magazine, CREATION. This magazine covers topics in the creation science. It also hosted a series of lectures by ICR staff. It has also created a network of local branch offices that offer talks and seminars to children and other community groups.

The evolution of South Korea

In the latter half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Korea moved toward a Westernised lifestyle. Then, he moved the capital to Wansanju and became a rival to Goguryeo.

His rule was however short-lived. Wang Geon, a powerful local leader who defeated Gungye in 935, and then united Goryeo, Baekje, and Silla Later, he incorporated Baekje into Goryeo peacefully as a successor. Wang Geon also introduced fundamental reforms, and strengthened the centrally-run system. This marked the end to the Three Kingdoms Period. The Korean peninsula was then controlled by the Goryeo Dynasty. During the Three Kingdoms Period, Goguryeo Baekje Silla gradually grew into powerful states on the peninsula and in Manchuria.
